Simple Travel Essentials that everyone needs to pack for every trip
From the perspective of someone who forgot these things and is struggling through the glamour
In the past 2 weeks I’ve been in 3 states in Turkey, Mexico, and now in the USA. I have no concept of space or time and I’ve been battling a sinus infection for the past 10-sih days. I, also, have about 10 minutes to write this before I have a major meeting so imma make this quick for you all
Also, I’ll be back to the regularly scheduled Black woman owned business programming as soon as I’m back in Mexico (aka this Sunday). It’s very difficult to schedule interviews when you’re constantly in motion. Thank you all for your patience and let’s get to it!
Benadryl: It doesn’t matter if you’re sick, have allergies, are a mosquito magnet, or any other host of things. BRING THIS. Buy it at home and bring it with you. This, just like #2 tend to be very expensive when you’re traveling.
Advil/Ibuprofen: The fact that this wasn’t in my bag when I flew to Turkey was probably the biggest L of my life. NEVER, NEVER forget this.
Sweatpants and sweatshirts: You don’t need to pack numerous sweats for travelings, especially to warmer climates, but trust me…you WILL use them. Whether it’s because you hotel’s AC is always on high and you can’t control it, or because it’s a little too cold in the airport, or whatever: ALWAYS bring sweats.
A refillable water bottle: Not only is it better for the environment, but this will also save so you much money instead of regularly buying single-use water bottles.
Good sneakers: I don’t care if this is your honeymoon or a high-luxe girls trip you’ve been planning since middle school, BRING SNEAKERS. The last thing you want to be is lose and bleeding through your toes.
Extra masks: Sure, we’re out of lockdown, but people are still getting sick and I don’t want that for you so be smart and bring extras (at least 1 extra).
That’s all for now but this list will definitely grow over time. I’ll be dropping a newsletter tomorrow filled with my favorite pictures from my rapid-paced international travels. Here’s a spoiler and one of my favorites from Antalya, Turkey!
