I have three new articles that were recently released in separate internationally renowned publications!
My Food & Wine Magazine article is about 4 POC-owned cannabis businesses that made cannabis-cocktails, and the social and governmental politics that keep canna-business owners down.
My Create & Cultivate article is about Inoki Bathhouse, an Asian woman-owned small business that stole my heart over a year ago and I’ve worked sooo hard to get her the press that she deserves. It’s been a little over a year but her story was one of the softest things I’ve written in a while.
My BBC Food article is about Food Network star Kathy Fang, the co-owner of multiple restaurants in San Francisco and the Star of Chef Dynasty: House of Fang on Discovery+ and the Food Network. This is the story and recipe behind her delicious Shanghainese wontons.
My first feature in Well+Good
As a journalist I’m usually the one interviewing people about their stories so it was interesting being on the other side of the table for this piece. Written by the brilliant Erin Bunch, this is a collection of stories from 4 people with chronic illnesses and/or disabilities (myself included). I talk about my autoimmune disease, my journey out of paralysis in 2017, and the importance of stress management.
